MoneyPak Reload Pack – old version vs new version

A MoneyPak is a “reload pack” sometimes called a “reload card” that allow debit card users to load money onto their cards. Its a financial card provided to debit card users through GreenDot Inc. Similar cards have existed in the past such as PayPal Reload Pack called “PayPal My Cash”, however, many companies like Netspend & One Vanilla have discontinued these products due to fraud. Reload packs basically turn retail stores into banks for debit card users. It’s actually better because there are more retail stores than there are banks. So you’ll have more locations to choose from.

How Does A MoneyPak Work?

A consumer picks up one of several reload pack from a number of different retail stores (Click here to find your nearest location) such as CVS, 7-Eleven or Walgreens. MoneyPak cards are typically found in the prepaid debit card section of the stores. The consumer brings the MoneyPak to the cash register and tell the cashier how much they want to load onto their debit card. In most cases, you do not have to have your physical debit card with you to do this. The cashier enters the load amount + the $5.95 fee.  The next step is to visit MoneyPak.com and enter your validation code and follow the instructions provided to you on their website. Do not enter your validation codes on any other website. Only share your validation code with someone you know and trust personally.

Find MoneyPak Locations

MoneyPak can be found at the following locations: CVS, Dollar General, Dollar Tree, Family Dollar, Kroger, Rite Aid, Safeway, 7-Eleven, Walgreens, Walmart and some Kmart stores. Instead of searching for each of these stores individually, our locator finds the stores nearest to you.

Green Dot Reload Locations

GreenDot Reload (Reload At Register) locations are found at the same locations as MoneyPak locations. So you do not need to make separate trips. “At The Register” allows you to take your physical prepaid debit card to the cash register and load your debit card without a reload pack. For this option you must have your physical debit card on you so that the cashier can swipe it. It’s also important to note some locations require that you show a government id to purchase a  MoneyPak card.
